Pucks and Palm Trees

Standard

Pucks… and palm trees.

Today is the first day of Fall.  I woke up to a brisk 46F here in Chicagoland. (That’s just a mere 14 degrees above freezing in case you needed the math done.) So, why am I excited about it…? Because it’s just a short NINE more days until the official start of pro hockey.  Chicago Blackhawks Hockey. Woohoo!

……and how do you jump from cold, icy hockey to tropical heat and palm trees, you ask? Good times with Hockey fans. That’s how.

Mexican Riviera – The Other Side of That Caribbean Pond

I’m getting excited for an upcoming trip back to Mexico and thought I’d share a couple of  pictures from prior trips. There are many popular destinations along the eastern Mexican Caribbean coast…. in Riviera Maya the water can be just as warm and turquoise blue along the shore as the heart of the Caribbean.

Accommodations abound! The lovely Iberostar Playa Paraiso Resort has several hotel options, we enjoy staying in the Paraiso Maya… so much, that this return trip will mark our fourth visit to this property.

Why go back? Let me show you!
